Abstract
Cyanamide solution (2.45% H2CN2) application during late August induced defoliation of Golden Muscat grapes within six days, followed by bud opening. This cyanamide application immediately after the normal harvest season induced the second flush of shoot growth, making possible the harvesting of two crops per year. The most significant effects of cyanamide application were increased fruit yield and early harvest of the second crop.
