Correlations between the sensory scores and the routine analysis were extremely poor, indicating either that the factors measured were unimportant to the wine quality (within reasonable limits) or that the interrelationship of the measurements were of more importance than the individual measurements. Relationships were studied by means of correlation and factor analyses. Groupings were made on the bases of correlation coefficients and additional factor analysis techniques.
