AB  - A commercial-size countercurrent washer was tested under plant conditions to determine its operating characteristics. Feed rates of up to 60 tons per hour were easily handled with no decrease in washing efficiency.Data obtained with this washer were used to calculate results obtainable with a 3-stage system. These are presented in a series of graphs and tables which show the effect of the various operating variables on washer performance.
