Ungrafted vines produced in the second through fifth crops a total of up to 182 t/ha fresh fruit when five years old. Sixty-six percent of the crop weight was located at the top wire five years after planting the vines. It was difficult to contain shoot growth within the pre-determined space of 1 m between adjacent cordons. To overcome the physiological and vine management problems associated with this particular method, two alternative methods of training Sultana vines are evaluated.}, issn = {0002-9254}, URL = {https://www.ajevonline.org/content/37/3/211}, eprint = {https://www.ajevonline.org/content/37/3/211.full.pdf}, journal = {American Journal of Enology and Viticulture} }
