The relationships among the C.E.C., the vegetative vigor and the root appearance of the experimental plants are discussed. The average nutrient levels for scion varieties on several of the hybrid rootstocks in field trials in California are presented and these are compared with the C.E.C. of the stocks concerned. ER -
