The protocol was sensitive and rapid. Sensitivity of the test was further enhanced by pre-mixing the detecting antibody (probe) and the enzyme-conjugated protein A (anti-probe). Due to the acidic nature of grapevine tissues, different extraction buffer compositions were also evaluated.
