Chardonnay grapes from two vineyards hand- harvested and sorted into groups by physical appearance and crushed by hand. Juice tested for levels of Botrytis antigens by PTA-ELISA and for laccase activity. Both tests were done on juice from squash of combined 80 plus 20 berries Tests for Botrytis antigens and laccase on uninfected berries were all negative.
