Child Welfare. 1986 Nov-Dec;65(6):545-53.

Abstract

Volunteer child advocates require specific knowledge as well as enthusiasm if they are to succeed in their goals. The training program suggested here can give them effective techniques for organizing; assessing and gathering data on relevant public policy; educating others; winning public officials to their aims; and evaluating how enacted legislation affects children.
