Abstract
Bird depredations are a serious economic loss in some vineyards. Control depends upon the bird species, environment, season, time of day, grape variety, sugar-acid ratio, tillage, foliage cover, attractant vegetation, weather, and other factors. Present control measures are discussed and evaluated. Also covered is the need for study of bird behavior, physiology, and neurophysiology.
