Abstract
Dipping bases of cuttings in water stimulated rooting of Vitis rootstocks 5BB, easy-to-root and 140 Ru, hard-to-root. Endogenous GA-like substances were obtained from the dipping waters with different treatments. A relationship between the levels of GA-like substances in the diffusate and rooting appeared. The possible relationship between the new equilibrium upon dipping and the rooting process is discussed.
