Gas detection tubes (GDT) before (a, c, e) and after (b, d, f) measurement of trace levels of hydrogen sulfide in wine. Using standard aeration-oxidation glassware, the new GDT method achieves detection limits below sensory threshold on still wines in 10 min. (See Allison, Montgomery and Sacks, pp.1–8.)
