Enchantment is a Vitis hybrid teinturier winegrape cultivar developed by the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture. Its anthocyanin profile is dominated by malvidin-3-glucoside, and 3-glucosides make up over 80% of the total anthocyanin content. Enchantment produces a wine with deep, red color that can be used as a single varietal or as a blender with potential for oak additions and bottle aging. (See Mayfield et al., pp. 194–207).
