One approach for evaluating spray drift and deposition on a canopy is to use a fluorescent tracer. Pyranine, which turns water a pale green, provides direct visualization of spray clouds and surface deposition. It can also be quantified in the lab using fluorometry. (See McCoy et al., pp. 217–229).
AJEV encourages authors to submit images for possible inclusion on the AJEV cover that appears on the AJEV website.
