Open Access Publishing

Beginning January 2025, AJEV will transition to full open access (OA) publishing; any content published on or after January 1, 2025 will be freely available to both subscribers and the wider public with permitted reuse. All manuscripts to be published on or after January 1, 2025 will be subject to an Article Processing Charge at the time of acceptance, charged to the corresponding author.

The APC for OA is:

  • American Society for Enology and Viticulture (ASEV) Members: $1,000 per article (at least one of the authors listed on an article must be a member to qualify)
  • Non-Members: $2,000 per article

Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) License
A CC BY license will be applied to all OA-published articles. This license allows readers of an article to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the original work, even commercially, as long as they credit the creator of the original work. Using this license for our OA articles will ensure compliance with Plan S, as required by cOAlition S.
