The differentiation of Koshu from Vitis vinifera and American species is discussed. Diglucoside pigments are absent; therefore, Koshu cannot be directly derived from V. labrusca or other American species or V. amurensis. The pigments are, nevertheless, different from those reported for V. vinifera. ER -
