AB Zinfandel, Tinta Madeira, and Carignane vines were sprayed with gibberellin at prebloom or bloom stage. Clusters were loosened and prevalenoe of rot sharply reduced by the sprays. Optimum concentrations of gibberellin caused little or no reduction in yield of fruit. The use of spray in two successive years produced no adverse effects.
