LR108-infected Riesling consistently showed delayed sugar accumulation of 1 to 1.6 °Brix. In 1986, LR107-infected Zinfandel showed a 1.7 °Brix reduction compared to controls but was not significantly affected in the other two years. Juice acidity and pH of both varieties were not affected by disease infection. Vine growth and yield components showed no significant effects.
