Hubácková YR 1996 UL http://www.ajevonline.org/content/47/1/100.abstract AB The dependence of the LT50 (temperature at which 50% of the buds are killed) upon the maximum, mean, and minimum ambient temperatures to which the annual shoots with buds on vines had been exposed prior to the frost stresses in programmed frost boxes, was studied in the grapevine buds during three winters (1987-1988, 1988-1989, 1989-1990). A correlation between the values of LT50 and the maximum and mean temperatures was recorded in the cold season of every year. The correlation between the LT50 and the minimum temperatures occurred just sporadically. A lack of harmony between minimum temperature and the LT50 occurred during the onset and the end of the cold season of each year.
